Paid Online Surveys: Time Waster or Money Maker?

Are Paid Online Surveys a Waste of Time or a Source of Money?

Well, you will definitely be wasting your time with paid surveys if your goal is to get rich. It is a fact that she will not quit her job and relax in a newly purchased vacation home on a private island using the money she earns from paid surveys.

Simply put, taking paid surveys is not the way to make a fortune online.

But taking paid online surveys may not be a complete waste of time for those who just want to earn extra money from home in their spare time. In this case, the opportunity can definitely be a moneymaker.

As mentioned above, it won’t be a huge moneymaker, but it can help someone make some extra money at no cost to them.

It is actually one of the best ways to make money online for beginners. And there are good reasons for it.

1. It is a truly free way to make money online. No investment or hidden fees needed as you join legitimate survey websites that offer free registration.

2. It is easy to take surveys and therefore it is easy to earn money. All it involves is completing surveys that just require typing and clicking.

3. Almost anyone can take advantage of the opportunity. Teens, parents, retirees, professionals, the disabled, or anyone who buys products or services can get paid for their opinion.

Someone new to making money online shouldn’t have a hard time making money with paid surveys. It’s a great way for them to see that money can be made online relatively easily. Your first payment may not pay your rent, but it may put extra money in your pocket that they didn’t have.

Still, some people think that paid surveys are a waste of time, even if the opportunity can help them earn extra money. Why is that? There are many reasons for this too. These are the main complaints I hear from people who say that surveys are a waste of time.

Surveys take too long and pay too little money.

This statement can certainly be true and it is in most cases, but not in all. I got surveys that wanted to pay me 50 cents for a 30 minute survey. Do you think someone wants to spend 30 minutes of their time to earn only 50 cents? I’m one of those people who wouldn’t.

Did I take the survey? No. Does that make me think this opportunity is a complete waste of time? No. Although I still get surveys like that from time to time, I also get surveys that pay me 3-5 dollars for ten minutes of my time. In other words, not all surveys pay poorly.

So even if I don’t take those low paying surveys, I still have opportunities to make money as I know I will come across higher paying surveys.

But to get decent paid surveys, you have to do some work. You have to sign up for many survey panels, complete their profile surveys, and take surveys on a consistent basis.

If you’re not doing these things, then you’re just getting underpaid surveys that would make this opportunity a complete waste of time.

You will still be disqualified.

Survey disqualification is inevitable for paid respondents. You will not qualify for every survey you take no matter how good you think your profile is.

But the good news is that there are other studies you may qualify for. To increase your chances of qualifying for surveys, you should complete your profiles, be sure to update them if anything changes, and participate in many survey sites for more opportunities to complete surveys.

Even if you get disqualified many times, if you have a steady stream of surveys and your profiles are complete, you will surely get surveys that you qualify for and can take to earn money.

They don’t send me enough surveys.

Some survey panels don’t send paid surveys as often. If you are not invited to take surveys, you are not going to make any money. What good is it if you only get surveys four times a month, which you may or may not qualify for? And what’s worse, what if they only paid a couple of dollars? That is a waste of time.

But what if you joined other survey panels and opened up the opportunity to be invited to more paid surveys? You won’t have to wait weeks for paid survey opportunities. You will start receiving surveys every day from various survey panels.

Yes, you may not make a lot of money on any given site, but when you add your overall earnings from each survey panel, you could end up with a decent monthly income from paid surveys.

Even if you only made $10 on each panel, if you belonged to 20 survey panels, that’s $200. That may not be a lot of money for some of you, but for others, it’s free cash that can pay a bill or save money.

Oh, and if you’re not getting many surveys despite belonging to many different survey panels, you should check to see if your profiles are complete and up to date.

Most survey sites are scams.

There are probably hundreds of survey sites out there and I’m sure a lot of them fall into the scam category. But I know for a fact that there are legitimate survey sites out there. Someone new may not know this, but if you did some research, you would determine that there are sites that will allow you to earn cash for taking surveys.

Is it worth analyzing all the paid survey scams to find legitimate survey companies? If you want to earn extra money for free, then you can. It’s not that hard to find legitimate paid survey websites, especially with all the resources available online for free.

So just because many sites may be scams, that doesn’t mean you will waste your time because some are legit and can help you make extra money.

In most of the above cases, it all leads back to earning potential. If you’re not going to make a lot of money or find it difficult to do so, many people will say that it’s a waste of time.

Although I agree with the latter, I would not say that taking paid surveys is a complete waste of time because you can earn money for free. And if you follow the advice given in this article, your earning potential can be much better.
