After all, she is one of the most easily recognizable faces in the world, thanks to her long-running daytime talk show, “The Oprah Winfrey Show.” At one point, her show was watched by 40 million Americans every week. Though she kept us informed, she made us cry and made us laugh a little over the two and a half decades of her tenure as a talk show host, Oprah is more than just a sounding board for the issues of our time. .
