Do you think you are not material expert?

Being the expert in your own niche is like writing your own ticket to freedom.

Of course, you will never become “The Expert” in a massive field like weight loss.

But select “Weight Loss for New Moms” or “Weight Loss for Future Girlfriends” or Weight Loss for Video Gamers “, and you can indeed become the expert in your niche.

I was reading Russell Brunson’s new book, “Expert Secrets,” and it begins by giving some examples of how easy it is to become an expert.

When Russell was in college, he tried internet marketing, but failed. Then on spring break, when he was really bored, he and a friend decided to build a potato gun.

The point was, they didn’t know HOW to make a potato gun. It just sounded like fun. So they started to do some research.

They figured out things like the correct volume ratio between the barrel and the chamber, the right propellants to use, the correct pressure for the pipes, how NOT to explode, and much more.

Armed with this information, they went to the store and bought their supplies. Then they spent the next few days building the gun, finding a place to shoot, and yes, firing the gun itself.

They had a blast, and when Russell was at school the next week listening to the teacher buzz, he thought about how he’d rather fire his potato gun. Then he wondered if there weren’t other people who would also rather shoot a potato gun.

Russell checked it, and sure enough: 18,000 searches had been done on the term “potato gun plans” in the previous month.

Russell persuaded his friend to create a DVD on how to get the elements needed to make a potato gun and how to make the gun itself.

Then he sold this DVD online. While he didn’t make a fortune, he made enough to get excited about online marketing and his new career was born.

Notice in the scenario above what Russell did to become an expert. He picked a topic that interested him, researched it, experimented, and did his own work, and then created a video.

It’s not exactly hard work, is it?

Russell gives a few more examples of people who became ‘experts’ in the same way:

Jacob Hiller always wanted to shoot a basketball, but he was lousy at it. So he began researching to discover techniques to improve his ability to jump. Every time he found a technique that worked, he made a video.

At first no one was paying attention, but after a while it had 100 followers, then 1,000 followers, and very soon it reached 10,000 followers.

So he made a product and built a company that makes millions of dollars teaching people to jump. Crazy, but true.

Jermaine Griggs had trouble reading sheet music, so he learned to play the piano by ear. Now he makes millions teaching others to do the same.

Liz Benny was an excellent social media manager, but it wasn’t until she started teaching others what she knew that she started making millions.

Robert G. Allen once said that he made millions doing real estate business, but he made hundreds of millions of dollars teaching real estate.

Think about it: you made MILLIONS doing real estate business, but you made HUNDREDS of millions teaching others what you learned.

Are you an expert in something other people want to learn? So, as Russell says, you are just one funnel away from making millions.

But maybe you don’t have experience yet, that’s fine. As you can see from the examples above, each of these people learned to be an expert first and then built their business by teaching others to do what they did.

Even Russell wasn’t born an internet marketing guru. He studied, practiced and worked to become what he is today.

And the same thing happens to me and to all the experts who earn 7 figures on the Internet.

One last thing: you may already be an expert, but you have a voice inside your head that says, “Who am I to teach others? I am no one in particular.”

In fact, you are special, but you don’t know it yet.

What you know is easy for you because precisely because you have studied and practiced.

However, for most people, what they know seems like a very difficult thing to do.

They need your help.

THEY WANT your help.

So ask yourself this question: Who are you to deny them the help they need and want?

Think of all the people you can help with your skill. By focusing not on the money you will make, but on helping others, you can build a 7-figure business that you feel good about.

And by the way, you can buy Russell’s book, Expert Secrets, on Amazon.
