World of Warcraft: a simple trick can earn you tons of gold in WoW

The trick is easy: you have to find out what people need, where you can get it, and then sell it to them.

It’s easy to find out what people need. In fact, it’s funny that so few people actually know and do this. You simply need to listen to people and follow their habits.

When you put things up for sale on the auction house, sooner or later you’ll know if they need what you’re selling. As you add items for sale, you’ll be able to see if other sellers have listed the same items, or if you’re the only one.

But you can learn about the needs of people for free, just by listening to the commercial channel.

Recently, I noticed a lot of people asking for golden draenite in the trade. I had no idea what that was at the time, but I made a note of it, and soon after, I got lucky when I was mining: I actually got some golden draenite.

Now, I use a plugin that tells me the market price of things I get, and I could see that the market price of Golden Draenite was only a little over 5 gold for one. I put it up for sale on the auction house and it sold very quickly.

The next time I mined Golden Draenite, I put it up for sale, but this time for 6 gold. Then 7 gold and when that also sold really quickly I realized I was the only one selling it. It finally dawned on me: I could make a lot more profit from this item than people really seemed to need. So I staked it for 25 gold and it sold again, very quickly.

Find out where to get it

In my case, I discovered it by accident, but the next time I notice a large number of people asking for a specific item in the store, I’ll do some research and find out where to get it.

You can use search engines for this purpose. Just type the name and search for the source of the article.

Sometimes it’s rare loot; sometimes it comes from a gathering profession such as mining or herbalism. With a bit of luck, you can even avoid having to work to acquire the item.

Going back to the golden draenite I mentioned… after discovering that it was selling very well for 25 gold a piece, I started looking at the auction house for more details. I found it for as low as 80 silver.

Crazy! Of course, I bought all 4 that were on sale and made a nice profit of almost 100 gold in a couple of minutes.
