Villaware Moderno Prima Espresso Machine

The Villaware Moderno Prima espresso machine is undoubtedly a beast to be reckoned with. I have had the opportunity to use several different coffee makers in the past and while some were good, others were lacking in many ways. Not this beauty!

It is a heavy machine. It feels solid and comforting. I like things like that, a lot of products are made to a poor standard these days. Also, it looks beautiful. It is sleek, compact and modern, hence its name. Outshine anything in my kitchen.

Everything else about the machine is amazing. A good, strong and reliable pump, a good steam head and not too noisy. Yes, I agree that the quality of the coffee is better in some other machines, but this product does not claim to be the top of the range.

I would say that this coffee machine is reliable and produces reproducible results. It is interesting that many people blame the Modern for making inferior coffee. This is certainly not the case in my opinion. Even the most expensive machines will be forced to match the quality they produce. That does not mean that it is the best of all time, it would be a difficult task. It is easy to use and maintain.

The other thing that strikes me as important is how robust a machine is. Other machines I’ve owned may fail after a while, especially with the amount of coffee my family and I drink! So far this machine has stayed the course. May it last long.

I have read many other reviews of the Villaware Moderno Prima espresso machine, some good and some bad. I’m with the good guys. A “nine out of ten” from me.
