JVC UX-LP5 CD Micro Component System and everything you need to know about it

Micro components are the new mini. It’s state of the art when it comes to stereo systems, and you don’t want to miss out on the iPod dock. And one device that has every conceivable feature you need and want in a stereo system should be the JVC UX-LP5 Micro Component CD System – a definitely hot new model that you just can’t resist. I couldn’t, and I have to say I’m very happy I did. So let me share information about this model.

Design

It is elegant, black and very elegant. You can place it anywhere in your house, but I would say place it in a highly visible place like in front of the TV shelf or something. I’ve placed it on its own end table next to the TV so it can show off its beauty and stereo prowess to any guests. It’s pretty easy to operate, and it has a very cool iPod flip dock that you can flip back if you’re not using it. It is definitely a wonderful addition to your home entertainment system.

The device is not made for travel, although it is a micro-component system. If you ask me, it’s quite bulky, but it’s light enough to transfer from one place to another if you carry each part individually. However, you will need to assemble all the lines and cables again if you do this. The set weighs a total of 4.7 kilos, the speakers 1.4 kilos each and the component 1.9 kilos. The speakers each have the dimensions of 14.0 x 25.0 x 18.8 cm, and the component itself has the dimensions of 16.5 x 25.8 x 25.8 cm. It takes up quite a bit of space, so you need to make room for it.

Video

Its one-line fluorescent display shows all the information you need when playing a CD, external music source or iPod, and also shows the frequency of the radio station you’re tuned to. Dims after a while of being unused. Your device has a video-out jack that you can use to play movie CDs, if you want to watch a movie on your TV, for example, but play the sound on the component.

Audio

The speakers are powerful with a total sound level of 80dB, a good volume for a whole house or a street party. There are some issues with the sound quality though, but I think it depends on how you EQ the machine. You have full tuning control over treble and bass, and you even have Hyper Bass and Sound Turbo. The Sound Turbo function enables dynamic sound quality that emphasizes treble and bass, turns on Hyper Bass PRO, and makes watching movies or listening to music more realistic and entertaining.

The radio uses a digital tuner and can save 30 FM and 15 AM stations as presets for easy tuning. It makes use of a digital amplifier system with 70 watts of total power output, more powerful than most components with the same features.

The CD player has programmable functions including repeat and shuffle. Reads most CD-R/RW format discs and plays MP3 and WMA files. The speakers are of the woofer type, which is quite obvious due to its good sound quality and performance.

Other features

When it comes to function, this model has much more to offer. It has a remote control for easy navigation at a reasonable distance, a sleep timer, three preset alarm times for three different wake-up times, an audio input for a microphone, a video output for playing movies on VCRs, a headphone audio output and a flip-up iPod dock.

iPod can be controlled on the device or by using a remote to play, pause, skip, seek, repeat, shuffle, menu, select, scroll, and scroll up or down. But it is only compatible with iPods with 4G technology or later models.

conclusion

What can I say? This is a very adorable device. I can’t say it’s perfect, but it has a lot of great features that make you really happy to have it. I am confident in recommending the JVC UX-LP5 CD Micro Component System to anyone who wants to add a great and complete component system to their home entertainment games.
