Future of Boxing and Holographic Projection

Boxing is a sport where very tough men and sometimes women get into a ring and beat each other up. It is a test of will, endurance and strength. Some say that the one-on-one nature is the epitome of sports competition. Watching two people go through the rounds of a boxing match seems to be something we can all relate to, whether it’s a symbol of life or our innate competitive nature.

Boxing competitively requires many hours of training and this takes its toll on thrifty members. Without savings partners it is difficult to practice. Until now there is no robot that has been developed to move, weave and swing, like a professional wrestler. There is no robot that can move as fast, block and dodge or hit back and make contact with a skilled human boxer.

Can you imagine fighting with your partner, who is Sugar Ray Leonard, and fighting against his holographic image? Imagine fighting your exact Olympics fights, step by step, right there in the ring with you? Would you be able to stand behind him, land the blows or in front of him, dodge them and then shoot when you could? Once you get good at it, you could even stand inside it as a choreographed routine. Can you imagine the moves you could learn fighting Rocky, Sugar Ray, Jerry Foreman or Mohammed Ali?

Holographic Technologies are getting closer to becoming a reality and soon we will be able to see the data on our computers in 3D, 4D and 5D. We will enjoy Virtual Reality on our X-Box 360 in our rooms. Military strategists and warriors can play the battle in the virtual battle space in advance and then watch it unfold in real time. The great-great-grandchildren will be about to meet past ancestors and watch a holographic video. We will communicate in videoconference with the image of the other people sitting next to us, but who are not really there. All of this is on the way and even more as the applications are endless.

But one of the biggest uses of these new technologies will be in the training of high impact intensive sports and Boxing is without a doubt the perfect application to train our athletes for competition or to represent the United States of America in the Olympic Games. . Think about this.
