Bouncy Castle Review: Mom’s Opinion

Finding things to keep youngsters busy at a party or barbecue isn’t always easy, especially if you have a group that varies in age.

However, I always found a bouncy castle to be the solution! Kids (and adults!) would jump around and have a good time for hours no matter if they were toddlers or almost teens. It’s brilliantly fun and great exercise – the downside is the hassle and expense of having to hire one for every event.

I then realized that I could actually buy a bouncy castle, which would bring a lot of entertainment to the kids on a more regular basis, and cost a lot less in the long run. So that’s what I did and so did a couple of my friends. We all buy bouncy castles, so we got together and wrote a review of each one.

Bouncy Castle Review 1:

Inflatable Castle Bounce House With Slide By Inflatable Impressions

I bought this for my two boys ages 3 and 6 respectively and they think this jumping castle is absolutely brilliant and I have to agree with them.

The first thing to mention about the inflatable bounce house is that it is not too big. therefore, if the weather is not in your favor, you can place it in a basement or garage. It also means you don’t have to have a huge yard to use it outside!

I discovered that three children can happily jump without bumping into each other. My only concern is that the entry opening is only held together with velcro and if a child falls against it they can fall and injure themselves. I fixed it by putting an air mattress outside!

It comes with its own “blower” and inflates quickly, plus it’s very easy to disassemble again. The blower isn’t particularly loud and definitely keeps good air pressure inside the jumping castle while the kids play.

I was very surprised that for the price this bouncy castle is very well made and seems extremely sturdy. A purchase that I do not regret!

Some important facts:

Dimensions: 12′ X 9′ and 7′ high

Maximum players: 3

Maximum weight: 250 pounds

Inflation time: 2 minutes

Comes with: UL listed blower motor, ground stakes, and carry bag.

Bouncy Castle 2 Review:

Blast Zone Magic Castle Blast Zone Inflatable Castle

My friend bought this for her little son and his friends, this is what she thought about this bouncy castle.

The Blast Zone Magic Castle Inflatable Bouncer is wonderful quality for a relatively low cost. The colors are vibrant, exactly as seen in the promotional photos!

It has tall mesh outer walls which are just the thing for safety and the bouncing pad is nice and flat.

It can be assembled in a very short time and put away just as quickly. The blower is a bit irritating – it sounds like a hair dryer, but after a while you tend not to notice it too much.

I have allowed up to 4 small children to happily play on this jumping castle, but for older children I put a limit of two at a time!

My little moan would be that on a bright summer’s day young people have no protection from the sun – their hats fall off when they bounce! A detachable sun shield would be a brilliant addition. My second complaint is the amount of power the blower uses, boy does it turn the tube but, that’s life!

We are certainly delighted with our bouncy castle and look forward to many hours of fun for years to come.

Some important facts:

Dimensions: 8.5′ wide x 11′ long x 8′ high

Maximum players: 3

Maximum weight: 300 pounds

Inflation time: about 2 minutes

Comes With: UL Listed Blower and Stakes

Bouncy Castle 3 Review:

Bounceland Ultimate Combo Inflatable Bounce House

My other friend bought this bouncy castle Rolls Royce for her 3 kids, it looks amazing but what did she and her kids think?

WOW! That was my first reaction when I saw this fully erected jumping castle in the backyard. So oh my god! that slide looks tall!

The thing is, these are the most precious hundreds of dollars I’ve ever spent because young people spend hours having fun on their bouncy castle.

It rides on and off quickly and smoothly and appears to be built to a high standard using excellent quality materials. The fan seems a bit loud to me, but I guess that’s par for the course.

The actual bounce platform is quite small, but there are so many other parts to this bouncy castle that youngsters can spend hours playing and never bounce once. Additional activity areas include a ball, basketball hoops, the slide (which I have to say has a safety net at the top), a tunnel, and climbing areas.

I have had 6 small children to play on this bouncy castle without any difficulty but I imagine this will vary depending on the size and age of the children.

This has been a brilliant investment, the kids love it and can have fun for a long time – we had our first party the other week with the “new bouncy castle” and it was a huge success. Who needs to pay for entertainment when you can have an Ultimate Combo inflatable bounce house in your backyard?

Some important facts:

Dimensions: 12’L x 10’W x 8.5’H.

Maximum players: 4

Maximum weight: 400 pounds

Inflation time: less than 1 minute

Comes with: Strong UL blower

While we all want our youngsters to have fun and everyone loves their bouncy castles, safety must be a priority. Carefully follow all manufacturer’s instructions and make sure there is always adult supervision.

I hope these reviews have been useful and help you decide which bouncy castle to buy for your little terrors.
