NBA season tickets can be affordable

Getting the best seats in the house for an NBA basketball game can be difficult and expensive. But there are ways to get a great seat without breaking the bank. Here are some ideas on how to get great tickets no matter which National Basketball Association team you’re rooting for.

If you only go to one or maybe two games a year, then paying a premium for a ticket from a broker or someone else is probably the way to go. But if you want to go more often, or already do, perhaps the best option is your own season ticket. Season tickets allow you to choose your own seat. And you’ll know every time you go exactly where that seat is.

But you say it’s expensive, and besides I can’t do all the games. Not so, there is actually a way to make that season pass affordable. Remember that expensive seat you paid for in that game? It was right in the center of the court, just a few rows up. Well, it was probably someone else’s season ticket. They just sold it to you and possibly made a few bucks in the process.

You can do the same. If you can’t make it to the game, sell your ticket on the secondary market. There are brokers who will buy tickets and websites that help facilitate ticket sales. Check the laws where you live and make sure you are not breaking any in the way you sell your tickets.

Another way to get that great seat is to split the cost with a few friends. All teams have more than 40 home games. With three other friends, you get 10 games at a quarter of the cost of the entire season.

You may also consider partial season tickets. Most clubs have deals for 10, 20, 25 games, with a mix of the best teams in the league, along with some games you might not pick on your own. But the deals are usually pretty good.

All season ticket offers get you tickets at a lower price than if you bought them as single game tickets. Get in touch with your team and get a season ticket; it may be more affordable than you thought.
