colorful life

As is known, tastes differ. When someone fixes up his house, he can show his own color predilections. And still, when you encroach on the “color power”, you must first learn its laws and orders in more detail. Each color has its own character and order.

The visual image of our house is made up of many components. Furniture was dominant in the interior for a long time. But the modern designer furniture style is fundamentally simple, functional and has almost no individuality. Under such an accentuated minimalism of setting, the amount of visual impressions needs some compensation… and receives it, in color. The tonal interior is in fashion. This means that the basic color components of the room – walls, curtains and furniture upholstery – are decided in a complete color spectrum. As for various details -screens, pillows, tablecloths, vases, small utensils- they can be subject to the general chromatic spectrum, and can also contrast with it, adding touches of warm tints in a cold spectrum, or, conversely, cold – in warm coloring. The tonal interior looks simple, like a common truth, without such pictorial disseminations.

Rainbow

The dark blue spectrum is associated with the coolness and coolness of the sea breeze, so these shades are very good when arranging rooms with large windows or loggias, which are open to the sky and nature. Bedroom, children’s room and dining room can be decided in bluish-silver tones. The deepest dark blue is associated with reflections, serious evening conversations; it will be good in a study or living room. Dark blue is cold: it does not like long-haired and fluffy materials, connected with a feeling of warmth. That’s why dry, small-textured surfaces are good for it.

Red color creates an exultant mood. This is a color of celebrations. It acts as a stimulant, so in a nursery it can be used alone as some supplements. It can feel cramped on camera, in small rooms, but it can prove its worth a lot in a large living room or main dining room. The color red also looks good in the hall of a spacious and modern apartment, and -as a novelty- in a kitchen with an avant-garde design in combination with metal and plastic. The red color in the interior can be of any tint – from bright cinnabar to gloomy and cherry shades. Red walls, red curtains or a red tiled floor can add some soulfulness to your interior, but, like any other eccentricity, such a decision requires immaculate. No unnecessary things, no casual kicks. All combinations of cherry, vinous and terracotta tints are good with bright red, but pink spots on scarlet and scarlet spots on pink are unpleasant and unsightly. And in general, you can make a small mistake in tints or lighting, and here it is – eagerly menacing “purple toned sketch”.

The pink interior is no less whimsical than red. It also has a clearly expressed character. You can decorate the living room, dining room, bedroom, daughter’s room in a pink spectrum, in that case, when the owner deliberately prefers the feminine style, the style, full of refined little things, antique porcelain, handmade details . However, “life in pink” is quite capricious – it is absolutely devoid of different modern high-tech or massive “Victorian style”.

Yellow color is for tonal interiors with an ecological and ethnic trend. Various shades of yellow combine with each other without restraint, creating a warm, light-filled spectrum. Wicker furniture and natural wood will feel comfortable in a cream-yellow setting. The yellow color is undemanding and can be chosen for almost any room in the house.

The color green draws the richness of its hues from living nature: the delicacy of the first grass, the exuberant depth of the July leaves, the silver of the mosses, the rusty and withered autumn forest… All shades and shades of green are wonderfully combined with each other, as they come together naturally in nature itself. The color green can fit into different interior styles just as easily. Pure and delicate light green and grassy tints are used in modern furniture coloring, including transparent plastic furniture suites. (Modern teens will love these chairs and tables, which resemble huge lollipops.) Simple wooden furniture, tinted in a subdued green, is very fashionable today, it successfully imitates the effect of antiquity. Green linen of clean color of any dye and wallpapers with a chintz pattern on a gold background can very well add to this ensemble.

Unlike the “natural palette”, composite and rare colors are very sensitive to the choice of their “partners”. Lilac, violet and purple materials and walls are stylish, but it is very difficult to choose decorative accessories for them. In its languid and slightly mysterious atmosphere, furniture of soft shapes can be harmoniously located, such furniture reminds us of the modernist style, then they also liked the combinations of lilac with dirty green, silver and opalesque-chatoyant.

The brown color is natural from the very beginning: this is a color of the earth and the trunks of trees. The brown color has a solid, pleasant and accommodating character. Brown color is associated with composure and solidity, which is why it is so good in a respectable, slightly conservative atmosphere, among the “Victorian” comfort of studios, halls and halls. Leather, corduroy, thick upholstery materials, and velvet work especially well in brown interiors. Quiet people with stable life goals and tastes often have something on that spectrum for their rooms. Here we can often see patches of gravel, melon yellow or creamy colors, large touches of terracotta, bright ocher are not possible, on pillows, paintings, vases, wall decoration. The more severe and classic a basic color is, the more important the nuances are in the decorations. Therefore, if the shade of the leather upholstery of the furniture is reminiscent of antique bronze, then the greenish-colored additions can be reminiscent of coppery platinum. Brown can be accentuated with light lilac, purple, violet and even bluish.

rules of good form

The choice of the color spectrum of the interior, of course, depends on the personal taste of the owners, but it is quite good to know how to coordinate your preferences with the function of the rooms, and also consider that each color has its own figurative, associative and emotional characteristics. constants. . Say, a daycare shouldn’t be gloomy, sullen, or irritating. Therefore, it should not be arranged in the graphite-gray or “acid” spectrum, even if parents like these colors. And a man’s study will look quite strange, if it is arranged in light pink colors. You should also not follow a transient trend on the “color of the season” in a tonal interior, since the decoration of an apartment is considered long-term. The color spectrum of living rooms should not be too exotic (for example, orange or neon green); exotics is like a spice – it’s good only as small spicy additions.

You can create several variations within a tonal spectrum, depending on the distribution of tone depth among the basic components of the interior. In simpler words, someone from the basic trio (walls, curtains or furniture upholstery) should be tinted in a lighter color, and someone – in a darker color. Therefore, in the nursery and bedroom, the walls should be the lightest place, the furniture should be upholstered in a darker color, and the curtains can be completely overshadowed. And in the living room, on the contrary, the walls can be tinted in a darker color, since the most important events in this room take place under night lighting, which favorably shades deep rich colors. In general, tonal interiors are quite captive to lighting. Color variations are chosen to match daylight and evening lights.

Motley’s principle

As is well known, modern fashion leans more towards pantophagy than stylized austerity. He prefers eclecticism and breaking the rules even in those moments, where he just built them. Therefore, having worked on tonal interiors, designers began to offer us a mixture of pure, simple and childish colors. Kitchen panels and floor coverings, walls and furniture for dining rooms, living rooms and, of course, nurseries, were painted in dark blue, yellow, red, green. In this fundamental multicolor, the term “furniture set” also changed: chairs of the same shape can have different colors, the sofa and the table gladly take the opportunity to play with the rainbow, and the rugs, pillows, and Pictures on the wall are just meant to look like illustrations in a preschool children’s book. We like freedom, spontaneity, when we are not embarrassed by a spot of casual color or some slippers that we forgot somewhere by accident.
